# Scheduled Publishing

> Schedule page or theme settings changes in Weaverse Studio to publish automatically at a chosen date and time.

# Scheduled Publishing

Scheduled Publishing lets you prepare content now and publish it automatically later. Weaverse Studio prepares a saved snapshot of the page or theme settings before you choose the publish date and time. The schedule targets that snapshot, not later unsaved edits.

There are two ways to create a schedule and one place to manage all of them.

## Schedule the Current Page or Theme Settings

<Steps>
  <Step title="Finish your edits">
    Finish the page or theme-settings changes you want to schedule before opening **Schedule publish**. Studio saves or selects the snapshot during preparation, before you confirm the date and time.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open the Publish / Save draft menu">
    Click the arrow next to the main action button in the top bar, which may show **Publish** or **Save draft**, and choose **Schedule publish**. Use the menu rather than the main **Publish** action to create a future schedule.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Pick a date and time">
    Studio prepares a snapshot, then asks for a publish date and time. Times use your browser's local time zone.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm">
    Click **Schedule for later**. If the page already has a pending schedule, the button reads **Override schedule** and the new snapshot replaces the previous one.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  Each page holds at most one pending schedule, and theme settings hold at most one pending schedule per project. Scheduling again overrides the existing one.
</Note>

## Schedule a Previous Version

You can also publish an earlier saved version at a future time.

1. Open **Version history** in the left sidebar.
2. Choose the **Page** or **Theme settings** tab and open the version you want.
3. In the version preview, click **Schedule publish** and pick a date and time.

Theme versions restore theme settings only; they do not change page content.

## Manage Scheduled Content

Open **Advanced features → Scheduled publishing** in the top bar to see every schedule for the project, including past ones.

From the list you can:

* **Edit** the publish date and time of a pending schedule.
* **Publish now** to publish a pending snapshot immediately instead of waiting.
* **Cancel** a pending schedule without publishing it. Cancelling a scheduled page draft returns it to a saved draft that you can use again. For a historical page or theme version, cancellation removes the pending publication while keeping the saved version in Version history.

The list is empty until you create a schedule from the Publish / Save draft menu or Version history; the manager itself does not create schedules.

## How It Works

* The schedule refers to the prepared page draft or saved version. Later unsaved edits do not update that snapshot; prepare a new schedule if you want to include them.
* Publishing at the scheduled time replaces the current live version of that page or theme settings and refreshes the storefront cache.

## Troubleshooting

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="The Scheduled publishing manager shows no content">
    No schedule exists yet. Open the menu beside **Publish** or **Save draft** and choose **Schedule publish**, or schedule a previous version from **Version history**.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Studio says a schedule already exists">
    Only one pending schedule is kept per page. Either **Override schedule** with the new snapshot, or cancel the existing one first from **Advanced features → Scheduled publishing**.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="My later edits were not published">
    The schedule publishes the snapshot captured when it was created. Reschedule (override) after making further changes, or use **Publish now** from the manager if the pending snapshot is what you want live.
  </Accordion>
